Perfect

Sarah Whitmire of Soul Journaling asked this question just now: "If you woke up tomorrow morning and your world was perfect, what would it look like?"

I would wake up around 8:30.  Get coffee and go out on the porch or to a chair by the window in the cold or rainy weather. After the first cup, some stretching and moving, then breakfast, also on the porch or by the window.

Around 9:30, work time.  I would set my schedule for the day then write up client responses, make client phone calls, take care of online classroom things, and do all the general business things on my list.

Around 2, lunch.  Probably back outside or at the window.  After lunch I would finish up any client/student related things.  Then, writing or art time, depending on my preference that day.  Writing time might involve going to a cafe some days.

Around 6, exercise.  Dancing of some sort--ballet or jazz or bellydance depending on my mood.

Around 7--get dinner started. (Dinner around 8) While dinner is cooking, wrap up any final e-mails and student/client business for the day.  One or two nights a week I would have an in person class to teach, so the evening would be filled with that from around 7-9.

After 9, reading, chatting with my sweetie, playing with the kitties, getting ready for bed.

And the next day, more of the same with slight variations depending on that day's focus.

Wishcasting Wednesday, June 2

This week for Wishcasting Wednesday, Jamie Ridler asks, "What do you wish to know?"

What do I wish to know?

 My first response?  Everything.

Too much.  I should narrow that down.  More consideration. Nope, still everything.  Or at least a little bit about everything.

There’s so much out there that is fascinating, interesting, still unknown!  Maybe I'll start with a small-ish list, though.

I want to know:

  • How my novel will end
  • If Bigfoot is real
  • How to outline a story the right way for me
  • How they get those huge cranes up on top off tall buildings
  • If the Loch Ness Monster is really down there
  • If Atlantis ever really existed
  • If there are aliens visiting the Earth
  • How to stop procrastinating
  • The mysteries of ancient civilizations--the Druids, the Mayans, the Anasazi
  • Whether there are really alternate Universes
  • How to knit socks and sweaters and cute headbands
  • How to process color film (and may I have a darkroom to go with that, please?)
  • All about photography—I want to rekindle that relationship with my cameras
  • How to motivate and inspire and organize myself to create everything I want to create
Well, I could go on.  But I won’t.  I really do want to know all about so many things, but this list is pretty good, so I’ll leave things here for now.

Dreaming and Doing

Today I ran across Andrea Schroeder's website, ABCcreativity.  I am joining in on her "Creative Dreams Come True" free e-course.  Although nothing says I have to go back to the start in January, I am doing at least some of the older exercises.  The first exercise is to make a list of 100 things you wish for.  I don't know what to write!  I've made it to twenty--you can see my list in the "Pages" section to the right under "100 Dreams."

Today I'm feeling a little dreamless.  I'm tired and kind of achy, I am working on a homework assignment I wanted to have done on Sunday but I can't figure out what I want to say, and I still need to capture an idea for this week's art experiment for MuseCraft.  So twenty things is probably a decent sized list.  I did notice as I went along I started getting more specific; my first wishes are really broad.  Now I will need to look closer at my wishes and see how some of them might break down into smaller, more precise wishes.

Meanwhile, I am going to go cruise the web for an experiment for the week.  I'm going to do some stretching and drink some water and maybe put my head down for a few minutes to see if I can perk up.  And then I'm going to dinner with an old friend who is passing through town for work.  And I'm *not* going to worry about not having a photo to go with this post!
