Wishcasting Wednesday--Open Doors

Ah, I am so frazzled and short on time and focus, but I really feel the need today to have a little bit of my normal routine, my Wishcasting community, a little bit of calm.  So here I am.

This week, Jamie asks us, "What door do you wish to open?"

The instant I read this, an answer popped into my mind.  "The door to adventure."  I don't exactly know what that means yet.  But that's my answer, and I'm sticking with it.  I thought about changing it, finding something else, something somehow "more acceptable."  But "the door to adventure" is what I want.

What might it mean?  More travel maybe?  I would love to see the Southwestern dessert, New York City, New England in the fall, England, Scotland, France, Egypt, the Serengeti.  I would like to try sea kayaking, go whale watching in the San Juans, learn to surf.  I would like to hike in the mountains, fly kites at the sea shore.

I would like to strike out on my own, away from this day-to-day drudgery and have my own real life full of creativity and doing worthwhile things and answering to my own inner boss and being on my own schedule.

I would like to explore small country towns with crowded, dusty antique stores and bring home treasures.

I would like to photograph ancient ruins and modern ruins and people on the street and birds in the sky.

I would like to have adventures.

And now a side note: I will try to get to blogs and read and comment, but I may not be able to make it happen.  Please know that I wish you great big lots of opened doors!  As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you as well!

As Kim wishes for herself I also wish for her. What a great wish, I too would like to go through that adventure door.

As Kim wishes for herself, I wish for her as well. Your adventures sound wonderful. Last summer when there were no adventures in sight I tried to create my own short adventures close to home. One day I drove my husband nuts telling him to turn down streets that we had never ridden on before just to have a little adventure. It actually was fun seeing things that we had never seen before in our own town.

Adventure it is! As you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well! There is so much to see in the world, so many places to go, so much creativity to explore! I hope you find all those things on the other side of that door!
