Wishcasting and 52 Photos--Windows to Delight

Today, I actually took a look at a website I'd seen referenced on several blogs.  I'm so glad I did, too.  The timing was perfect.  I keep drifting away from taking photos regularly even though I really want to do it, but I also keep getting overwhelmed when I try to join in on group projects or classes.  But this--the 52 Photos Project--this is perfect.  It's very much like Wishcasting--participate in weeks that work for you, but if you miss a week no one will complain.  It's a fabulous project, and I'm thrilled that I found it.

This week the prompt is "What's outside the window?"  I didn't have my camera with me, so I used my cell phone to grab a quick photo of what's outside the window of my office:

I moved the blinds aside and took another one, but this shot is my favorite, so this is what I'm using this week.

And this answers this week's Wishcasting for me, a bit, too.  The question is "What delights do you wish for?"  I wish for the delights you can find every day if you just have time to go out and look for them.  And that's something I want to do with my camera--find the beautiful, special things that are around me every day.  I want to delight in beautiful fabrics and lovely decorations and playing kitties and music that stirs my heart.

And that's it. It's all that simple.  It's all about giving time and attention to the things we want to enjoy.  And that's what I'm hoping for with my camera and in my life.

And since I'm really late today and don't know if I will manage to get around to everyone's blogs: As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you as well!

I love your wish and it's something we all (especially me) should do more often.

As you wish for yourself, so I truly wish for you also.

Fabulous view from your office! The phone is great to capture small details of our daily lives.
