I discovered Sunday Scribblings several weeks ago, but I keep forgetting to actually *do* anything with it. Then I got a nifty new note and calendar app, and this week I actually remembered! Hurray for fun gadgets.
But this babbling is taking me nowhere. I'm just trying to avoid the actual writing prompt. This week, the word is "mess." Mess. It's a word I use a lot. It's a word I live with a lot. We are slobs. I would like to change that. I have no idea where to start, and I have no idea how to get any energy and motivation and time to make it happen.
My desk is a mess, too, but not the same kind of mess. There's a lot of stuff that I need to find places for, but it's not an out-of-control mess the way the rest of the house is. But it's still a mess that needs dealing with.
Argh! Mess! It's everywhere and it's overwhelming and *where is my fairy housecleaning godmother*?!
Mess. Someday, I'm going to make it go away.

When you meet the fairy housecleaning mother, please send her my way.

I know how you feel :) I have started - I am putting in the charity shop any clothes i havent worn for over a year!!
school is out so we are in the process of trying to clean out things we let go for too long - closets and garage to name a few. I can only deal with one "mess" at a time!
My desk is a mess too. However at the moment I convince everybody that I know where everything is, even though that is not true.
The secret is to make a show of tidying up a little every now and then to appear to be neat.
Mess is a home, tidy is a house.
