Today I went past the 45,000 mark. I am less than 5,000 words from winning NaNoWriMo. Now I just have to get that last 5K written. And then I have to do the really hard part. I have to finish out the story once November is over. Then I have to do the rewrites and editing. And then I have to let people read it. But one step at a time, right? For now, I just need 4,802 more words. This, I can do.

One step at a time.
Yes, that Inner Critic insists that the lumpy concoction I'm mixing together is obviously *all* *wrong*.
But we all know that no one can make perfect fluffy pancakes without going through that lumpy, ugly stage.
The pancake analogy is fabulous! I will keep stirring.
