Wishcasting Wednesday--Enjoy!

I know this one!  Have the answer without even having to think about it.  How to bring it about... That's a different story.

This week for Wishcasting Wednesday, Jamie Ridler asks us "What do you wish to enjoy?"

Down time.  Relaxation time.  Time to unwind, breathe, put my feet up and let my body and mind recharge.  I have lost the ability, and I really need it back.

I multi-task even when I don't mean to.  I sit at my desk at work when my actual work is done and all I have left to do is wait for the phone to ring.  I decide I'm going to read.  But that computer in front of me pulls me in, pulls me to check e-mails, look at Facebook, research something I think of as I'm browsing.  And then it's two hours later, and I am not at all refreshed or relaxed.  I have a hard time stepping away from the internet and the iPod and the things that keep my brain busy, distracted and occupied but not actually getting anything from them.  So I wish to enjoy time reading, embroidering, breathing, relaxing, unplugging and recharging.

:) Isn't it funny how something so enjoyable as resting can seem so 'foreign' to us after awhile??

LOVED this wish!

As you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well!

Oh, I'm so guilty of multi-tasking when I should not. I really need to unplug more. Oh, I am so glad you like to embroiderer. I do, too. It's so relaxing. As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you, too.

Why did this whole multitasking thing become so popular to begin with? ;) I hear you, I relate with you and I am wishing for you.

I can so relate - if I could only figure out how to manage that computer time...it is so alluring.

As Kim wishes for herself, I wish also for her.

And now I must get off the computer for the evening!

Oh yes, I've been here! I experienced that two hour gulp yesterday. 30 min timers are useful as are scheduled reading for pleasure times in your day! I relish those moments. Love your peacock photo from last week!

So with you here! I seem to have forgotten how to simply breathe, relax, disengage... I struggle even to that when I'm meant to be sleeping! Yet that cosy armchair and throw looks so very inviting... maybe, just maybe...
As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you (and me too!)

I have had to learn not to let the computer rule my life, well...I'm trying not to.... some days I win, some days I don't.

As you wish for yourself, I heartily wish for you as well.

Kim, what a beautifully truthful wish. Ironic that I sat down to do some work and am now replying to your wish. Hmmmm... I think we all get sucked in some times. Let me know if you find a solution.

As you wish for yourself, I wish for you also.
