Reverb 10 December 13--Action

Action: When it comes to aspirations, it’s not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen. What’s your next step? (Author: Scott Belsky)

This one seems a lot more about looking forward to next year rather than wrapping up this year.  Still, it matches perfectly with where my head is right now.

My next step is to make a list of all the things I would like to accomplish and then prioritize them or pick the ones that I want to focus on.  I have these ideas roaming around in my head, but if I look closely I can see that there are too many to work on at once. So I need to pick the ones that I will do starting now and let the others wait in the wings for when there's room for them.

The things I want to do in the coming year:

  • Get stronger, healthier, fitter, more comfortable and happier in my body
  • Finish a novel and start submitting it
  • Have my house clean, beautiful, welcoming--a sanctuary I love coming home to every day
There we go, there's step one.  These are the three things I'm going to be focusing on.  And they're big, so it's a lot even though I've pared down the list.  But I believe these can coexist and all get the time and attention they'll need to make them happen.

Best of luck with your actions! Finishing my novel - meaning writing more than the 932 words I wrote this year, lol - is on my list too.

We have much in common! These are big changes and you can make them. I look forward to reading more along the way.

I so love how you described wanting your home to be a sanctuary. I fully believe that the power of a serene home environment can make such a positive difference...this is also something I'm striving for in 2011!

Happy Writing!
